Proverbs 6:16-19
  1. These six [things] doth the LORD hate: yea, seven [are] an abomination unto him:
  2. A proud look, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood,
  3. An heart that deviseth wicked imaginations, feet that be swift in running to mischief,
  4. A false witness [that] speaketh lies, and he that soweth discord among brethren.

Abomination is

That which is against nature
Leviticus 18:22
  1. Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination.
Leviticus 20:13
  1. If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them.
Deuteronomy 22:5
  1. The woman shall not wear that which pertaineth unto a man, neither shall a man put on a woman's garment: for all that do so are abomination unto the LORD thy God.
1 Kings 14:24
  1. And there were also sodomites in the land: and they did according to all the abominations of the nations which the LORD cast out before the children of Israel.

Deuteronomy 23:18
  1. Thou shalt not bring the hire of a whore, or the price of a dog, into the house of the LORD thy God for any vow: for even both these are abomination unto the LORD thy God.
Deuteronomy 24:1-4
  1. When a man hath taken a wife, and married her, and it come to pass that she find no favour in his eyes, because he hath found some uncleanness in her: then let him write her a bill of divorcement, and give it in her hand, and send her out of his house.
  2. And when she is departed out of his house, she may go and be another man's wife.
  3. And if the latter husband hate her, and write her a bill of divorcement, and giveth it in her hand, and sendeth her out of his house; or if the latter husband die, which took her to be his wife;
  4. Her former husband, which sent her away, may not take her again to be his wife, after that she is defiled; for that is abomination before the LORD: and thou shalt not cause the land to sin, which the LORD thy God giveth thee for an inheritance.

Deuteronomy 18:9-12
  1. When thou art come into the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee, thou shalt not learn to do after the abominations of those nations.
  2. There shall not be found among you [any one] that maketh his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, [or] that useth divination, [or] an observer of times, or an enchanter, or a witch,
  3. Or a charmer, or a consulter with familiar spirits, or a wizard, or a necromancer.
  4. For all that do these things [are] an abomination unto the LORD: and because of these abominations the LORD thy God doth drive them out from before thee.
Deuteronomy 27:15
  1. Cursed be the man that maketh any graven or molten image, an abomination unto the LORD, the work of the hands of the craftsman, and putteth it in a secret place. And all the people shall answer and say, Amen.
Divers weights and measures
Deuteronomy 25:13-16
  1. Thou shalt not have in thy bag divers weights, a great and a small.
  2. Thou shalt not have in thine house divers measures, a great and a small.
  3. [But] thou shalt have a perfect and just weight, a perfect and just measure shalt thou have: that thy days may be lengthened in the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee.
  4. For all that do such things, [and] all that do unrighteously, [are] an abomination unto the LORD thy God.
Proverbs 11:1
  1. A false balance is abomination to the LORD: but a just weight is his delight.
Proverbs 20:10
  1. Divers weights, and divers measures, both of them are alike abomination to the LORD.
Proverbs 20:23
  1. Divers weights are an abomination unto the LORD; and a false balance is not good.
The way of the wicked
Proverbs 3:31-32
  1. Envy thou not the oppressor, and choose none of his ways.
  2. For the froward [is] abomination to the LORD: but his secret [is] with the righteous.
Proverbs 11:20
  1. They that are of a froward heart are abomination to the LORD: but such as are upright in their way are his delight.
Proverbs 12:22
  1. Lying lips are abomination to the LORD: but they that deal truly are his delight.
Proverbs 15:8-9
  1. The sacrifice of the wicked is an abomination to the LORD: but the prayer of the upright is his delight.
  2. The way of the wicked is an abomination unto the LORD: but he loveth him that followeth after righteousness.
Proverbs 15:26
  1. The thoughts of the wicked are an abomination to the LORD: but the words of the pure are pleasant words.
Proverbs 16:5
  1. Every one that is proud in heart is an abomination to the LORD: though hand join in hand, he shall not be unpunished.
Proverbs 17:15
  1. He that justifieth the wicked, and he that condemneth the just, even they both are abomination to the LORD.
Proverbs 21:27
  1. The sacrifice of the wicked is abomination: how much more, when he bringeth it with a wicked mind?
Ezekiel 18:10-13
  1. If he beget a son [that is] a robber, a shedder of blood, and [that] doeth the like to [any] one of these [things],
  2. And that doeth not any of those [duties], but even hath eaten upon the mountains, and defiled his neighbour's wife,
  3. Hath oppressed the poor and needy, hath spoiled by violence, hath not restored the pledge, and hath lifted up his eyes to the idols, hath committed abomination,
  4. Hath given forth upon usury, and hath taken increase: shall he then live? he shall not live: he hath done all these abominations; he shall surely die; his blood shall be upon him.

Proverbs 28:9
  1. He that turneth away his ear from hearing the law, even his prayer shall be abomination.
Luke 16:15
  1. And he said unto them, Ye are they which justify yourselves before men; but God knoweth your hearts: for that which is highly esteemed among men is abomination in the sight of God.
Revelation 21:10, 27
  1. And he carried me away in the spirit to a great and high mountain, and shewed me that great city, the holy Jerusalem, descending out of heaven from God,
  1. And there shall in no wise enter into it any thing that defileth, neither whatsoever worketh abomination, or maketh a lie: but they which are written in the Lamb's book of life.

  6. Wherefore the rather, brethren, give diligence to make your calling and election sure: for if ye do these things, ye shall never fall:
  7. For so an entrance shall be ministered unto you abundantly into the everlasting kingdom of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.
