1 John 5:16-17 and Revelation 21:8 state that you are a liar when you continue in deceit to the point that your lying becomes a sin unto death.

Habitual and unrepentant lying leads to spiritual death. It is deliberate, willful disobedience to God. Compare the end result of the man Ananias in Acts 5:1-3 and that of covenantbreakers in Romans 1:31.

The Bible consistently upholds truthfulness as a virtue and warns against the destructive nature of deceit.

Ezekiel 33:12-13 warns that your righteousnesses shall not deliver you in the day of your transgression.

Ezekiel 33:14-16 states that when you turn from your sin and do that which is lawful and right; restore your pledge, restore that which you’ve stolen, keep God’s commandments, and sin no more, then you shall live and not die.

Therefore, do that which is lawful and right, then do as commanded in Colossians 3:9 and Ephesians 4:25, stop lying and speak truth.
