โœ‹ Correction

You choose to deceive yourself.

In 1 Corinthians 3:18-20 you are instructed to โ€œlet no man deceive himselfโ€ and warned not to choose the wisdom of the world over Godโ€™s wisdom.

In Obadiah 1:3 God declares you deceive yourself when you are proud, and in Galatians 6:3 when you hold yourself in high esteem; thus self deception is your choice.

This is supported by James 1:26 warning when you do not control your tongue, and 1 John 1:8 by stating you have no sin you choose to deceive yourself.

And James 1:22 and James 2:17-18 state that when you do not actively and continually obey Godโ€™s commandments you deceive yourself, as faith without works is dead.

Therefore, choose to obey Godโ€™s commandment in 1 Thessalonians 5:21 and prove all things, holding fast that which is good.
