βœ‹ Correction

You choose to be deceived by others.

In 1 John 3:7-10 you are instructed to β€œlet no man deceive you” and given direction to discern whether a man be righteous or evil.

This is supported by the admonition of the Apostle Paul, in Ephesians 4:14-15 to grow up and not be deceived by various doctrines of men. In Ephesians 5:6 Paul warns that when you choose to be deceived by the words of men you bring the wrath of God upon yourself.

In Matthew 24:11 and Matthew 24:24 Jesus declares that many will be deceived by false prophets; thus to be deceived by men is your choice.

This is confirmed in Jeremiah 29:8 and 2 Timothy 4:3-4, as men choose and proclaim the lies and deception of man over the truth.

Therefore, as commanded in 1 John 4:1, choose to not take things on face value, rather try the spirits to determine whether they are of God, because there are many false prophets.
